FHES Title I 2025-2026

Title I Parent and Student Handbooks
The purpose of the Parent and Student Handbooks for Title I Parent and Family Engagement is to ensure that parents are fully informed about the Title I program, their rights, and the resources available to support their child’s education. These handbooks are a critical tool for fostering strong home-school partnerships and ensuring compliance with Title I requirements by providing parents with clear and accessible information. As mandated by the Title I program, the handbook must include the Title I Parent Information Handout (What is Title I?), the Title I Parent and Student Informational Letter Coversheet, and the School-Parent Compacts Coversheet, which highlight the shared commitment of parents, students, and schools in improving academic achievement. It also contains the Migrant Parent Occupational Survey, the District and School Parent and Family Engagement Policies, and the School-Parent Compacts, which outline specific engagement opportunities and responsibilities. Additionally, the handbook includes the Parent’s Right to Know Letter, Complaint Procedures, and the Fraud, Waste, Abuse, and Corruption Policy to ensure transparency and accountability. To further support families, it provides Homeless/Foster Student information, offering essential resources and assistance for equitable access to education. By including these components, the handbook equips parents with the knowledge and tools necessary to actively participate in their child’s education and collaborate effectively with schools to promote student success.
